Published by the Marijuana Moment, author Kyle Jaeger brings to the audience's attention that Cannabis is evolving rapidly in regards to health trends at the moment. People are finding themselves to be more drawn to CBD (or cannabidiol) than other trends such as acupuncture, apple cider vinegar, exercise, and veganism.

Based on research, the non-intoxicating cannabis compound has risen so high in popularity to the point where it is seen to be Googled just as much, if not more than an average person looking up yoga and e-cigarettes.

Over the years, “cannabidiols” have had a stagnant Google search database up until the year 2014. In fact, searches for terms such as “CBD” or “Cannabidiol” increased 126 percent in 2017 compared to the previous year, which was 160 percent higher in 2018 versus 2017 and they are still expected to rise again this year by a total of 117 percent.

Americans have searched for the compound more than 6.4 million times, and that’s just from the month of April 2019. The top 6 states that have shown the most interest in CBD in the past year, based on Google searches, are Vermont, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Colorado, New Hampshire, and Oregon.

As interest has grown around the world over Cannabis, we are seeing a lot more people actually consuming these products. Gallup released a survey in August, showing that one-in-seven Americans consume cannabidiol products. Read more.
