Texas Senate Passed A Bill To Make Medical Cannabis More Accessible House Bill 3703 was approved unanimously by the state Senate on Wednesday increasing the number of qualifying conditions that can be treated by medical cannabis. Some qualifying conditions include: Post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic pain were left out even though there was heavy lobbying from cannabis advocates. “We just don’t have the data -- good scientific data -- that supports (medical cannabis) for PTSD that we can put in this bill at this time,” Campbell said. “I hope that we can get definitive research necessary to be able to include PTSD” and other conditions in the future. The bill now awaits Gov. Greg Abbott signature.
